Submissions/ Contact

"If you would be a poet, experiment with all manner of poetics, erotic broken grammars, ecstatic religions, heathen outpourings spoken in tongues, bombast public speech, automatic scribblings, surrealist sensings, streams of conciousness, found sounds, rants and raves- to create your own limbic, your own underlying voice, your ur voice." (Lawrence Ferlinghetti - Poetry as Insurgent Art)

We welcome submissions from most genres in most forms: '
short stories, poems, as well as notes, thoughts, diary entries and other words that have no place elsewhere. Words that may have no business in other literary journals or arts reviews, but words that nevertheless deserve to be heard: One-line poems, streams of thoughts and lucid dreams that have no outlet anywhere other than the pages of people’s personal notebooks. It is ‘misfit lit’.'

Whoever you are, wherever you are from, and whatever you have to say, send us your stuff. We encourage simultaneous submissions. All submissions (including pictures and artwork) should be sent to the email address below.

Send it in any format, attachments are fine- if we can't open it we will let you know. If snail mail is the only way you can get your work to us, then send it to:

Next Issue: We are currently considering submissions for issue #7, 'Paper Plane Poems/ Paper Plane Prose'. Due out in spring 2012, this issue will be made up of poems, short stories, flash fiction and any bits of misfit lit - the only stipulation being that the words fit on a single sheet of paper. Submissions selected will be folded up into  paper planes and flown off from the rooftops of Paris and any other places that we have volunteers (If you want to go the extra mile with your submission, then make a video of you or someone reading out your poem/ story, folding it up, and then flying it off onto the streets or people below...)

If you would like to get involved in distributing, just get in contact at the above email address.

All other longer works will still be considered for following issues, as well as an anthology that will be coming out sometime in the future. Unfortunately we cannot pay you at this point as we spend any money we have on printing costs and getting your words out there.

Donations: We welcome any donations, no matter how small. All donations go towards printing and other costs, not to people.
